Grab Modernizr & Add to your HTML document.
Place your script reference inside the head of your html document after all of your CSS references. The CDN will tell you the most recent modernizr version to use in your script references.
Add HTML5 elements to your document.
/*chrome/safari */ -webkit-border-radius: 14px 14px 14px 14px;
/*ie9 */ border-radius: 14px 14px 14px 14px
/*firefox*/ -moz-border-radius: 14px 14px 14px 14px;
When you use Modernizr, you can replace all three of those lines of code with just one line of code, like this:
border-radius: 14px 14px 14px 14px;
Support your older web browsers
Shivs (polyfills) will add HTML5 features to older web browsers that don’t support specific HTML5 features. A Shiv is available for almost every HTML5 feature. We would first create some JS code to test and see if we have the specific HTML5 feature. If the feature is not supported, we would load another script to create the HTML5 feature and load it after the Modernizr script. We could also use Modernizr.load() to test for HTML5 features then add them in for older web browsers if needed.
