I came across a website this morning that really inspires me with it’s unique design and it just creates a fantastic positive online experience. Lotie.com uses hand drawn design elements of organic items (flowers, jelly fish, people, plants, water), sounds of nature in the background that will not cause problems at the office or while speaking with a client, and the portfolio pieces are also inspirational.
The background image is hand drawn and it moves around to give you access to various content sections. Most of the background is black and white that will change to more vibrant colors to bring focus to the main content section. The Lotie website uses adobe flash elements but I still find it inspiring for my future html5, css3, and js projects. I used to create macromedia flash animations and websites but my career has a strong focus on mobile development now so I prefer to developer with html5, css3, and javascript. Of course I will use my wacom intuos4 tablet to create something that is inspired by Lotie.
