Software Engineering, Web Development, Programming, and Design
The following list includes a very small portion of my past professional work.Â
- Various web spiders and bots that I’ve developed over the years. Perl, Php, JavaScript, NLP, Text to Speech, Voice Recognition, Macromedia Flash, Actionscript, XML.
- Bot Brain Builder web application to help non-programmers to create an aiml knowledgebase. I can not give access to the knowledgebase, this is only a demo to show the interface and basic features. Php, html, javascript, css, xml, aiml.
- Ruby On Rails, Bot Builder web application to help non-programmers to create complete chatbots, imbots, and various nlp bots. Ruby on Rails, Ajax, MySQL, css, xml, aiml.
- Simple Encryption Form. Check out this simple form I created to let my friends encrypt and decrypt text messages. I am re-using standard js files to make this work.
Object Oriented PHP
- Object Oriented Php. I use zend studio, ssh tectia client, svn, scite and various text editors. I frequently write new php functions, edit old php functions, and delete old php functions within large enterprise lamp environments. I’ve also developed a wide variety of web applications completely from scratch, such as
- RSS Feeds for affiliate program; pulls aff codes, images, content from database and embeds video and images from database using propel objects.
- Internal business solutions that enable employees to update and edit data in mysql database.MySQL.
CMS, Linux, Apache, MySQL, Php I am currently working in an enterprise lamp environment as a software engineer (12/2005 to present). In the past 10 years, I’ve also frequently installed, configured, and maintained a variety of web servers, databases, and web technologies.
The following are samples of various open-source CMS, and software solutions that I’ve installed, configured, customized, ripped up, and maintained over the years.
- Yahoo! Small Business Commerce I have edited the small business commerce stores. I have also implemented search engine features to Yahoo! ECommerce stores.Â
CMS; commercial enterprise
- SiteScape. I installed, configured, and maitained SiteScape for a corporate intranet and extranet. I also created custom tcl plugins for the purpose of enabling large teams to work together even though they did not speak each other’s languages. Next, I created documentation; technical, corporate business procedures, and employee manuals (as seen on my writer portfolio) that passed intense peer reviews. Finally, I taught the sr. unix administrator how to do everything I had done for this project on her own, from start to finish, including developing custom plug-ins. The technical documentation I created for this project, is available during in-person interviews.
Multimodal Bots
I created the following web bots and imbots to give endangered language translations and pronunciations to any standard computer, mobile device, talking toys found in retail stores, robotics, and animatronics. Some of them also play games and give tests while keeping score. They all automatically log conversations and other information to a database and xml files. More Info from an older out-of-service website.
- Onkwehonwe.com My mohawk language bot, won the 2003 Bronze medal for ‘Best Learning Bot’ category in the chatterbox challenge, competing with about 80 world-wide competitors. Sometimes I wear this bronze medal around on fridays and let my close friends touch it.
- Bot Building Applications. I created these to help give customers and teachers the ability to build their own bot and instant messaging bot knowledge bases.
- Ruby On Rails, Bot Builder web application to help non-programmers to create complete chatbots, imbots, and various nlp bots. Ruby on Rails, Ajax, MySQL, css, xml, aiml.
